Need help with decorating living room
Comments (1)Depending on how much work you wanted to do and how much you've got in your budget there are lots of options available to you. It looks like you've got a great ceiling height so you've got lots of wall space to play about with. I'd pick a feature wallpaper with some gold in it and probably a pale, cream coloured background. This will work with your flooring and with the sofas you brought from your previous property and it'll keep the room bright. Because you've got so much wall space you could also create a gorgeous gallery wall. It doesn't have to be expensive if you use postcards, personal photos and posters etc. If you go for all black and white pictures you can play around with different styles and colours of frames but if you have some colourful, mixed images I'd keep to black or white frames and have some consistency that way. These are just guidelines for quite a curated look but if your tastes are a little more eclectic then go wild! If you've got room in your budget you could also add more interest and textures through a large floor rug, cushions, and curtains. Choose shades that complement or clash with your chosen wallpaper. I hope this helps!...See MoreLiving room decor help
Comments (14)I would try this layout: 2-seater with its back to the window, 3-seater at a right angle with it's back to the wall with the double doors (but both free from the walls) and a smaller scale chair to the right of the fireplace, angled towards the sofas. The TV on a long, low media unit or cabinet on the wall to the left of the door. I would look for an arm chair like this. Don't know if it's comfortable though, but something in that style, on legs and not too large. https://www.made.com/moby-accent-chair-yolk-yellow-1...See MoreHi I need some help for living room decoration. Comments (15)I'm going against the grain here and would stay with the lighter color, all round. I would suggest taking out the ladder shelf, hopefully you can use this elsewhere, and swap the chair to it's position. How about a floating shelf, or may be 2, above the PC's? For a few books and decorative items. Not all the way across, so some art can go at either end. The red of the rug is great to connect your areas, especially in the art at the PC end. Go with just a couple of pillows, again a red or ochre from the rug. If you feel more is needed, try a throw otherwise you might go into pillow overload! I would add looking for a lamp to come from behind the sofa, one would give you soft evening lighting....See Moresharon fender
