IQ keep up-to-date with all the latest machinery and tools for glazing installations. We recently sent our head estimator to the #GGROpenDay to view this huge #glasssucker that can hold panes of glass up to 2800kg!

I find a non perforated spatula/turner with a medium stiffness and a long handle is very useful. It can be used for flipping splattering eggs, oriental stir fry, turning steaks, or swatting smoke detectors.

Hi Sliding doors will give you a slimmer design than the bifold options show in the image (only one of them worked for me!) It would give you a design similar to the below (but on a smaller scale with a shallower glass roof above the doors) Woodford Road below is a good example (very old site photos so forgive the quality) The price range can vary quite a lot depending on what sliding door option you go for. I would recommend downloading our EBook about sliding doors to give you an idea on the range available. Hi there, I don't know the details but could you not work around the problem by using a fire suppression system? Water mist etc? If you use a system like this and separate the ground floor glazed element with a wall and fire door this should satisfy the fire officer and consequently building control? That way you may not need fire rated glass possibly? To be honest your architect should have foreseen this eventuality and designed it out.
