What were your accessory choices?

This is a great space, congratulations. We have a space with similar dimensions, and were curious about two aspects of it: what are the dimensions of the projector screen and what is the furniture you used? Thank you.

Hello Claudia, Speaking from an art on walls point of view, I'm loving the challenge, so I present a few choice pieces for the wall above your two armchairs that I think will be a happy compliment to your existing decor and furnishings: As regards the picture above your piano, the colours work well with your room but you don't like the subject, right? If that's the case, this consideration will have to be a decision based on what subject(s) you really like or are quite sentimental to, as opposed to colour matching an art piece just to fit in with the rest of the room. If you do play the piano, musicians are very sentimental people, so you want something above the piano that you can "feel and connect to" when you're sitting there playing. It has to be sentimental to you, irrespective of what it is and what colour it may be, and not to consider it as part of the rooms overall decor. It's a lovely room and the wardrobes look great. I agree with Deborah re the bed. Perhaps some art in a thin black frame over the bed picking up on the black for the radiator and chandelier or something with a brass/gold frame? I love the chair but it just looks a little small against everything else and I'm not sure the mirror is enhancing that space. Is there space on the other side of the room for a larger chair and a large statement mirror, an antique leaner might be good? I might also swap the lamps to use another material and go for something a bit more oversized in a classic style, Oka is probably a good place to look. I'd also add a small post of flowers on the bedside table.

Tee hee about the loo seats ! Best decisions - going to view the derelict property that was found way back in an old box at the estate agents and then putting in a ridiculously low offer thinking it was a start point to negotiate upward - but they actually accepted it !! Yay !! Worst decision moving in with a toddler while renovating ! No way I'd ever do that again!!! On the design front - as I'm in the biz I guess that helped with the flow of the place - so recommend if you do bring a designer (or concept planner like us) onboard, ask them for input throughout ! It can make for a much more cohesive home !
