Hi Laura, Going along the lines of other suggestions, you could add some interest by using a trim down the leading edge of the curtains. Use the neutral green as the main fabric and then a trim like this... https://www.fabricsandpapers.com/8509-lezarde-gimp-fuchsia It would create interest, and tie in the chair to the room. @Maths wife - thanks for the mock up. Really helpful. @Beano - completely agree re. radiators. Just ran out of steam on the painting front. They will get done at some point this month .... Also agree re. the rug. The problem I have is that a £55 pot of paint to 'freshen up the lounge' is suddenly becoming rather more expensive - new curtains (fair enough, needed them anyway but still wasn't quite prepared for the John Lewis quote), new snuggler (again, probably needed but the quote for recovering it works out nearly the same as buying a new one - ouch!) and also now a new rug (when I still like the current one, just not maybe in the new lounge). Lets hear it for the July sales ....
