Hello Plymouthlass, You have a good amount of seating in your Living Room, and a nice, neutral grey to work from in the sofa fabric. I’d suggest adding some warmth and interest to the room. Wallpaper would work well; alternatively some eye catching art work would look great along the main wall behind the sofa with painted walls (re-hanging the existing mirror on a side wall). I’d then add a rug under your coffee table and two side tables either side of your small sofa. These side tables would be a great place to locate a pair of table lamps. If you need additional storage in your room, trunks rather than side tables would give you storage and table space. A big difference would be to add a touch of softness and texture to your window by adding a pair of curtains with tiebacks would be ideal. Don’t forget to try and fit your curtain pole near the ceiling as this creates the illusion of a greater ceiling height.

Might sound crazy but a subtle two tone might work not colour blocking but a gradual subtle shade diff a soft off white blue grey teal on top that will not fight against the very bright white window frames and keeping a small room light.. and then getting to a soft blue grey darker teal colour with a soft graded border. And consider painting the unit soft white with an all surface soft white mat or soft sheen paint. Pop up a large piece B&W family photo or a family picked piece of wall art or something wacky like a giant gold fish on a white background framed in a thin bright orange frame and job done...or look up dark snugs/dens with rich bold colours can work well if done correctly .. good luck..

Hi. You've got a few styles in your ideabook so not sure which to choose! I'd go for a warm grey (brown undertone) textured wallpaper behind the bed such as faux grasscloth or similar (1st pic). I'd paint the remaining walls in the same colour but 1/2 shades lighter. Wood bedside tables would look nice to add warmth or perhaps these faux shagreen ones? I'd add a brown/grey faux fur throw (everything seems to be faux!) and then you could either add burnt orange velvet or deep turquoise cushions on the bed. Repeat the colour for art and maybe a couple more brass accents.

In my opinion it is the saturation level of the paint that is the problem. The beauty of your kitchen is the natural flooring and the wooden worktops, it looks earthy. This is swamped by the blue paint, it just looks wrong. Without seeing the cupboard door colours close up it is tricky but I would suggest looking for something a bit darker than the cupboards but with the same hue. If you want a strong contrasting wall a deep olive green would work as it would balance the wood and the purpley greys.
