Exterior Paint inspo

Hello Houzz community!
Looking for ideas to smarten up the exterior of our house. The top ‘triangle section’ used to be black on the woodwork and white in between, but the previous owners painted it all white. I’m wondering if we should bring a colour back in on the raised sections and if so, what!? Black looked too harsh.
Also needs to ideally work with the front door which is to be replaced, so could be anything.
Am thinking grey because I think it would work well with the red brick but not sure what shade and am not 100% decided so any input would be so gratefully received:)

5 years agoAnthracite would look very nice, but we suggest to create some colour detailing around the windows as well, to give the facade a bit more visual interest-but in that case you can just stick to white colour.

Comments (13)You could go for a warm grey scheme like Elephants Breath on the render, Charleston Gray on the woodwork and a different colour on the door like Brassica (all F&B), or if you prefer a traditional grey, purbeck stone render and moles breath on all the woodwork. Comments (4)I won’t share a photo for privacy reasons, but my neighbours have gone for shaded or shadow white. It looks very nice, but a lot will depend on the style of the house. Theirs is a 1930s house with brownish bricks below the render, brown roof tiles, and orangey-red hanging tiles....See More

It’s an Edwardian house T Grey, built in 1907.
I think the windows will stay white at least for now, but it would be a good opportunity to repaint the fascias as they are peeling and need some TLC.
The fence is going to be replaced and, so could definitely paint that to tie it in with the scheme.
It’s not clear from the original pic, but the front path is terracotta and dark grey tiles, so I think that’s how I ended up with the idea of dark grey on the woodwork/front door, but am interested about the strong suggestion of green, so I will have a good look at this.
