Poll: What colour accessories would you put in this room?
Our marketing manager is struggling to choose a pop of colour to dress her room for winter!
What colours would you recommend?

5 years agolast modified: 5 years agoI'm not sure I would choose a "colour". Maybe something like this Oka cushion to add a darker tone and pattern. A faux fur rug/throw for over the arm of the chair. I'd also add a basket of logs to add texture. I'd pull the chair forward and add a floor lamp behind. Maybe a tray on the footstool with a vase of white roses and eucalyptus and she could also add some candles

Comments (1)I think tan leather would look good with the mango furniture. I'm not sure that mid century would complement your furniture, Chesterfields are fashionable and fine for modern homes so you could go down that route. Decor wise with tan leather cooler colours work best - blues, greens and greys. Comments (39)My husband trusts me and prefers I make all those decisions. That said I always ask his opinion on large pieces. If I left it all to him he would lose interest before finishing! Design is so not his thing. But then I'm not interested in documentaries on outer space or Lego.... 5 years agoI looked at putting all sorts of accent colours in , but it just spoilt it. I finally settled on some more 'coffee / bronze' to match in with the curtains as nothing in the room matches them. I think the room has a lovely serene feel, but you could go 'richer' . I also added in blinds for the windows as they look a little bleak without. So, you could add a vase by the fireplace like this:-
The only thing i don't like is the position of the T.V as it looks a little like it tips forward giving the impression that it's falling slightly. I personally would find the lights off putting, so I Photoshopped it, with and without the lights and the T.V adjusted to Upright. I think I prefer without the lights. I changed the orange / red candle / lamp on the window sill to the right as it doesn't tie in with the other colours.
