Lounge/living room fire and wall colour dilemma
Comments (8)Hi Sian! I would not recommend painting the wall red or green as per se. If you have a small room and furniture is red/green you need to be careful with wall colour, I suggest keeping it as neutral as possible. Soft/dark grey is a safe choice and looks good in contrast to red. It would be good to see the rest of the furniture for a better perspective, perhaps you can take photos with your phone? Check out the option below for colours. Considering your description of the room, I would think about Fashionable grey or Moroccan brown (disregard the blue and brick colours) ? See below the options, from this palette you can also think about grey owl or similar....See MoreWhat colour to paint bedroom walls to suit a rouged marble fireplace

Comments (16)Hi. The kitchen looks beautiful. I agree with Jen that it needs a shelf/shelves on the sink wall. I'd go for something matching the mantel shelf and paint in the cabinet colour. I wouldn't go too wide or it will be competing with the mantle. I like the wall colour but if you want more contrast I'd get a tester for wevet which just has a hint of grey. I think the room needs warming a little with the accessories. Have a look at artisan/rustic bowls and jugs for the shelf. Bowls just stacked can be really effective. A potted herb somewhere (Neptune have a couple of nice pots). A round wooden chopping board with handle (some of the vintage french ones look great) would look good propped up against the wall. Use the white jug for some tall stems on the table (keeping the bowl there). You could look at slightly larger complementary art for either side of the mantle and an oval plate that is taller than the artichokes might work...See MoreWall paint colour dilemma
Comments (4)White would look fab, especially if you have a wooden floor. I’ve got a very dark hall and stairs and I painted it Dulux Egyptian Cotton but it’s maybe a little dingy. A very pale grey would also work. Pick a grey you like then go a shade lighter as a dark hallway can make many greys look dingy too. Good luck....See MoreCelery. Visualization, Rendering images
