The Industrial Design Trend
Benchmark Kitchens & Interiors

Construction finishes, inspired by industrial architecture have become a strong trend in kitchen surfaces. The tactile, bold appearance of raw concrete, poured plaster and rust are very visually appealing and these looks are becoming increasingly popular in interior design.
The modern materials give different layers and depths containing various shades, reflecting the raw textures in the natural changes of stone and industrial materials over time.
These finishes work well as kitchen worktops, and can be achieved using quartz. The rough look is however, non porous, highly heat and scratch resistant, and easy to clean and maintain.
