Comments (4)Hi Fin, looking at paint colours online is really a waste of time. Firstly everyone's monitor shows up a different shade and you are also relying on the photo that was taken of the colour to be accurate in the first place. Take a sample of the countertop to a Paint supplier. Valspar at B&Q is very accurate with the colour cards. Pick some cards out that you think will go well with counter top. I would then personally take them home and lay them out in the light that you have in your kitchen before buying a sample pot, painting an A4 piece of paper and hanging it to see what you think. You need a larger span of the paint to get a good overall perspective of what it will look like. Good luck....See Morekitchen cabinet colour & floor
Comments (4)We have this In frame display in our Harrogate showroom. We feel that by painting the wall a dark contrasting colour it helps frame the cabinets. Some of our clients feel that very white kitchens can feel sterile against soft furnishings, so you may want to consider soft neutrals such as this Pale Grey mixed with Truffle. Good luck with your project, please contact us if we can help in any way. Our details are on our pro page. Daniel from Townhouse Design...See MoreKitchen cabinet colour dilemma
Comments (11)I agree with forza, your kitchen is great as is but yes if you feel like having a change, why not? I know there is a trend for using dark colours but I’m a little concerned with you already having large areas of (near) black, like your floors and tiles above the range, that it might get too dark. Are you considering changing the flooring? If not you could perhaps think about painting your units in a lime white. Or would that not give you enough of a change from how it is now?...See MoreKitchen cabinet colour dilema
Comments (12)Judging by your plan, if you’re kitchen is south facing, it’s going to be flooded with light. I tend to prefer darker colours in poorly lit places but lighter colours for sunny rooms. I’m not a big fan of grey but Ammonite is a very subtle shade and I think it would look good on the perimeter units. I fear that a darker colour people suck the life out of your bright sunny room. The island can then be any colour you like as a contrast. I feel that a whole kitchen in Pelt might be a bit too much, but the island in Pelt would look amazing. It’s a beautiful colour and would be a real talking point. Without wishing to be controversial, I think the days of the dark blue kitchen may be coming to an end. It might look dated very quickly. If Pelt is the colour that’s captured your imagination, then go for it...See MoreVicky Zag
