Comments (7)I agree that you need to decide on your colours based on what you already have. I would get a colour chart from one paint manufacturer and decide on a good white that you can use again and again plus a nearly white and two light neutrals and 2 darker neutrals. Then choose 4 colours that are similar and work with what you already have. The idea is to have a bunch of colours that all work with each other and to set out some rules to work with and then use the rules for every room. Having a continuous colour palate each room will feel like it has come from the same imagination plus it gives a more luxurious feel. This way it doesn't matter which order you paint in as you have a plan of the end result- plus there is less wastage when you use the same paint in different rooms although with different light and different complimentary colours it will feel different in different rooms....See MoreInspiration needed for farmhouse sitting room
