Please help! Curtain dilemma....
Comments (2)I'd go with the red. You have chosen it because you like it and it will balance the feature wall. Choose a contrast black&white to go with the fire, or patterned navy or... for cushions and a few choice pieces spread around and I think it would look good. Maybe a rug too in front of the fire could include several of the colours used - would make it more cosy....See MoreCurtains for large bifolds dilemma
Comments (2)Depending on what stage you are at with the build, it may be possible to build a recess in which a curtain track sits. We have used a cheap rail and fixings from Ikea in the attached. Apologies for the poor quality photo....See MoreCurtains for bifolds dilemma
Comments (4)I put 10 mm silver/chrome coloured blinds in between my glazing, it's well worth it. You can tilt both ways and lift them up and you never have to dust them. Then I put a pelmet above the door and let it hang down around 12/14 inches to match my soft furnishings....See MoreCurtains or blinds on a large sliding door?
Comments (40)JC thank you again - it's actually your photos that we have saved on our wishlist so it really was a big help! New blinds sound absolutely brilliant so we're going to get in touch once the work starts and hopefully they can provide ours too. If you have any photos they would be most gratefully received, the mechanism you have to pull them all down sounds fab! I presume you've not had any problems and they're still going strong! At the risk of pushing my luck, do you have any idea of the cost of your lovely sliding doors, to have so much glass, compared to say bifold doors? We've decided we want large sliders to maximise the light, but I'm worried they will be loads more than bifolds which were in our original builder's quote, eek!! Thank you again, as you say this forum is unbelievably helpful and I'm eternally grateful to you all!!...See MoreIsabel Walter
