Comments (23)Hi Michael, Sorry, but I have to partially disagree with you on this, daylight colour temperature is 6500K not 4000K. Yes, 4000K is warmer than 6500K but it does not give a truer representation of colour. Colour representation is measured using the colour rendering index or CRI. The closer to 100, the closer to daylight. The Megaman LEDs are 80 CRI for each of the colour temperatures. That said, the 4000K fitting will produce a brighter and cleaner feel to the room. However, it can look too harsh at night. 2700K is closer to traditional halogen fittings. It can look duller during the day, but looks a lot more welcoming in the evening - perfect for a soak in the bath. It comes down to personal preference in the end...See Morebathroom flooring help please
Comments (11)Assuming that is your washstand the tile is against I would tile the floor with the same tile to avoid you having too many different flat surfaces in a small space (assuming you can get it in a floor quality tile). Given the light situation I would paint a feature wall in a deep colour to add contrast to an otherwise fairly white room. Against this tile I like Farrow and a ball Downpipe- don't forget to buy a wipeable matt finish....See MoreWhat have you been creative with? Concrete shelves for luxury bathroom
Comments (33)MATH the terracotta panels ( Ladrillos panelas) are very brittle so I doubt if topping a wall with them would be that good they are okay in suspended ceilings, shelves and similar but on a wall top you would definitely need to render them quite thickly. The dimensions you give work out to 60 cubic metres so I see why you want an alternative to blocks, casting concrete or using lava. I had a google for Spanish concrete panels along the lines of gravel boards, don't know if you speak any Spanish so it's more or less 'panelas de hormigon', I can't find anything useful on Spanish Google at the moment but next week I have to go to my local builders merchant so I'll ask him if he has any ideas....See MoreWhite Herringbone Tiles in Bathroom
Comments (16)Hi. Sorry I thought you were going for the gold grout in the photo :) I personally prefer the white grout in the first 2 pics but I think the light grey also works. If you wanted white grout have you looked at epoxy resin grout? We removed inherited tiles that were over 20 years old in our kitchen and the grout was spotless so I assume that's what they used. great that you can lay the tiles yourself, does that include the herringbone? Why not get a sample to see how the white compares to the encaustic as presumably that will be an off white? The brass sounds lovely and I agree with Rinq if you can add some wood as teal and white can be a cold combination but looks lovely in the 2nd pic...See MoreCatherine Hussey
