finding the right lights for kitchen island when fan in living/dining

Hi - I just wanted some advice on lighting choices for above our island bench in our kitchen. We are going to out in a ceiling fan in the centre of the living/dining room space, and I am not sure what style of lights I should put over the island bench that won't clash/look too busy.

The whole living space will be painted white, with white cabinetry in the kitchen, a very deep navy feature on the back of the island bench and timber floors throughout. The layout is as pictured. And I have attached the style of fan we are looking at and also the pendant we will behaving in the entry.
