What colour accessories goes best with navy and gold wallpaper

Hi I won this wallpaper a few weeks ago and I am going to use it in my living room for a feature wall. I'm keeping the walls white and my sofas are a light brown I just can't decide on what colour to get for curtains cushions rug etc my living room is small

Hi, I love that wallpaper. It is going to be a quite dominant feature in the room I would compliment with some more gold/brass and navy blue objects, lights, cushions elsewhere in the room. But since the room otherwise has white walls, I’d go for white or natural curtains, to keep the focal point at the wallpaper.

As always some fab points. I have considered price but the cost of paper was far less than having every wall skimmed but to be honest paper was more feasible for the time frame as there is no chain we can complete quickly. The 3 living rooms come off the hall and the bottom one is straight ahead of the front door which will be the dining room so I was thinking wallnut floor in hall and dining room but I'd like to have carpet in the other 2 reception rooms which will be library and sitting room as I have wood floors now in my sitting room and as much as I love the way it looks I feel like I'm forever cleaning it. It seams silly to place pet the hall though especially with children's muddy feet. There is no cornices in any of the upstairs rooms so I think brick effect paper will work well in the master. I'm stil not sure wetha to do all walls or just feature wall. We have wallnut furniture which I love so I think it will be a fab room. My daughters room I'm most excited bout it's just trying to decide how much of which colour more Grey or more pink or equal both I'm leaning more towards more grey because it will be easy to change the pink as she ages. My step son is difficult as he had probably had a different room every year in our house as he's aged he's gone from toy story to batman to Barcelona fc. So now I'm saying no to themed rooms. I was thinking maybe a mural on the wall behind the bed maybe black and white New York sky line or something and keep everything else very simple black and white??? The floor boards aren't in great condition and I know I probably stand alone when I say this but I don't actually like the look of original floor boards unless they are perfect. I agree with the decor flowing through the house and aside from the kids rooms it will all be pretty neutral. The dining room leads out into a beautiful garden so I was toying with trying to bring the outside in with some nature tones I'm just not sure how to go about it? Any suggestions for a dining table colour as it will sit on wallnut floor or am I just being picky and it doesn't really matter, just in my head an oak table on wallnut floor doesn't look great. Wish I'd taken pictures so I could show before and after I'll have to remember to when we move

I agree with the others, would look at layering navy and mustard throws and cushions for the bed. I can see the radiator isn't attached but it doesn't look as if curtains would work? Perhaps Roman blinds as mentioned in a light grey or another geometric pattern in grey and white. I might also swap the cream shades. Thank you both for your comments. Yes we are very lucky to have such a nice room which is why I want to get it looking right. I really like some of your suggestions Minnie 101. I wasn’t keen on the orange with the cushions I currently have on the sofas but the ones you have sent a picture of look much nicer. I also like the idea of a bigger rug which goes under the feet of the chairs. I haven’t yet picked any wallpaper no. Yes Carolina, I know what you mean about the tv but unfortunately there isn’t room on the left wall, it would have to cover half a window. Also the best view from this room is actually to the right of the tv. So it’s only really blocking the view of the drive. I’m not sure how else I could make it work really? Interesting about the mirror. I’ve never thought about it like that. This little area annoys me a little and I’ve always thought it was the lamp or the mess on the console. Maybe it the mirror. I really like some of the items both of you have shown. Is there a link at all that I’m missing to these items or is it just for ideas? Not fully sure how this all works. Thank you for all the comments! We decided against green partly as I think it would be too much of a contrast - I don’t want the room to be even more fussy - and partly because we have dark blue sofas, and I’m not a fan of blue and green. The pink is a good rich tone and matches the pink in the wallpaper well. I’ve tried to pick out three key colours for the room - pink, blue and white (or orange), plus some highlight colours - yellow, teal and orange (or white). The thinking behind this is that at the top and bottom of the walls the main colours in the wallpaper are pink, orange and white (which also makes me unsure that green would work at skirting level, while the pink might be less drastic). We already have some pink in the room (lamps, cushions) and it works. So there is a kind of method to my madness! I love the idea of floor-length curtains and was originally planning on that but they can’t be hung around the window seat. Thank you for all the help and advice - I wish I’d come on here years ago as this room has been a real headache! We love the wallpaper though and are determined to make it work. The blinds have already been ordered in the fabric shown!!!!!! - I’ll report back with a photo. If it’s a disaster I guess I can make a lot of cushions... x
