Ideas for curtains, rug and accessories

Hi I've recently decorated a lounge with F & B Ammonite and have a tan leather sofa/chair. I would love some suggestions for curtains, rug and accessories with a colour pop. Contemporary style. Thank you

Hello Claudia, Speaking from an art on walls point of view, I'm loving the challenge, so I present a few choice pieces for the wall above your two armchairs that I think will be a happy compliment to your existing decor and furnishings: As regards the picture above your piano, the colours work well with your room but you don't like the subject, right? If that's the case, this consideration will have to be a decision based on what subject(s) you really like or are quite sentimental to, as opposed to colour matching an art piece just to fit in with the rest of the room. If you do play the piano, musicians are very sentimental people, so you want something above the piano that you can "feel and connect to" when you're sitting there playing. It has to be sentimental to you, irrespective of what it is and what colour it may be, and not to consider it as part of the rooms overall decor. It's depends how far you want to push things! For me it's great pushing my clients boundaries into the extraordinary. If you like the two tone why not go for a zig zag line rather than the usual straight line. It adds interest and makes it unique! Pic attached. All you need is a ruler and masking tape. Or you could try a small mural or there are people who could do that for you. An Art student is another great way as it gives them experience and a larger canvas than they can usually get. You provide materials and it's a win win! What ever you do I would agree to use colours taken from the curtains and to add a nice warm rug if it's not a tip hazard. Hello Kimmyrb. Bravo on your impulse buy... it's a beautiful piece. I don't think you need much. The sofa should be the star. Maybe a rug (some pattern in it to break up the block colours) and some cushions (same...and to tie in the blue pouffe and your wall which has hints of green) but not much else. If you also change curtains, you risk making it look too done/match-y methinks. Re cushions/ rug...look online at House of Hackney for patterned textiles.
