Getting the right shade of colour
Comments (2)Hi Rosalie, generally if you shop in John Lewis or any of the bigger interior shops or department stores they will dip lay items in stories or colour schemes. If you choose an item you like you can carry it round with you as a starting point and then find other items that match. It helps to buy everything in one place but if that's not practical make sure you take fabric swatches or items with you to get the colours right! Hope that helps.....See MoreHow to cove?!
Comments (9)Hi, If you want coving, I'd do all the walls bar the window wall- if you are going to have curtains running the full width of the wall, from ceiling height, you won't notice the missing coving... I'd make the decision on coving based on the other areas around the house. Do the other rooms have coving or will this be the only room? if they all do I'd get matching Coving; if not, I'd give it a miss. All the best!...See MoreChalkboard wall

Comments (8)Hello Sonia This sounds like an exciting project. Did you have a chance to go to Olafur Eliasson's show at The Tate. He installed a huge moss wall. I am sure if you contact his studio they will help you as they are good people and really into eco and natural solutions. One other way of bringing the outside inside is to use artwork that references nature. There are a number of artists I work with who could echo the natural landscape beautifully. Some of them are incredibly exciting and would likely represent a good investment. I charge £150 for 10 ideas and you can see more about how I work on www.louisawarfieldart.com Please do call me on 07855 803509 if you would like to discuss how art can bring the outside in. Kindest Lou...See MoreJonathan
