what is the width of the mirrors

Building a new home. love the look. Vanity 10 ft. Center of vanity frosted window instead of mirror. Mirrors above sinks on each side. Interested in how wide the finished mirror are in the photo

That's the way we initially had it so why I bought two sofas - one under mirror and one under window but problem was you then face the stairs when sitting and although it looked very pretty in a photo it didn't look pretty when sitting down. Other issue is radiator under window and with it being such a big room we need to keep that free. I like the idea of a long console under the mirror in place of the sofa. We can't keep the taupe sofa because the tv will be in the corner on the right hand side of the mirror and there isn't room/wouldn't be able to see. We all watch tv regularly so needs to be accessible (husbands request!!) Love the idea of mustard and bringing the floor lamp over Love the

Replacing a window with door (same width) - what is involved?

Hi Ellie, You should have a lintel above the existing window already and therefore if the door is the same width as the window then you shouldn't need to replace this. You will need to consider the damp proof course of the house (depending on the age of the house) and where that sits in relation to the new opening for the door. If you are taking away bricks below the damp proof membrane then you will need to add extra under the door. You will also need to think about how the water sheds off the door cill. A good installer will be able to advise you on this. Unless you are in a listed building or a conservation area where article 4 has been applied by the council you shouldn't need planning permission for this.

Personally I’m not keen on mirrored wardrobe doors. I have shaker style wardrobes in a soft taupe and a separate mirror on the wall nearby.
