I’m considering replacing the black painted pine cladding with a wood effect resin. Any advice please?

I've seen a property with a product like the one pictured over much of it and the gaps between runs (which look a different colour) plus the finishing of corners made it look quite bad. In my opinion. As a Gold Medal Winning Garden Design perfectionist.

We sell both the real Scrapwood wallpaper and we also sell flooring which has been used as cladding. The Scrapwood wallpaper is very good and realistic. Flooring would probably work our a bit more expensive than the wallpaper but definitely looks the best! I would recommend up to 14mm engineered wood flooring as opposed to laminate flooring, and some good adhesive to do this with. You might be able to find a laminate for this but still doesn't look as good a real wood.

Hello Emma, first of all I do not represent windows suppliers, for this reason I have no intension to sell you specific windows type :) Secondly I am working as project manager and everyday discuss these questions with my customers who are building homes. Mixing two different styles - traditional and modern may not work out very well. House is one object and it should stay in the same style. Advantage of using aluminum windows is that vertical bars between glass partitions are very narrow. So you will have a lighter structure look. Wooden windows definitely will have thicker bars, depends on windows profile and producer but can be about 5 cm wide. We have developed one project in Chamonix France. We had long discussions, because house was facing Mont Blanc mountain and owners wanted to see most of it. In the end we went after wooden frame windows, and we were happy with the result. Thank you! I should add... the photo doesn’t show it, but the roof is past its time with curling shingles and moisture seeping under, especially bad on the full dormer at the back of the house, The wood siding and shingles are a little beat up, but it’s the cost of painting every few years that has us looking to fiber cement siding. The back and sides of the house are currently a blue gray wood shingle.
