what color of kitchen should I go for if I used this cement tiles for the kitchen's floor?

Comments (51)Dear Azfar, I think your units are lovely, very sophisticated and much nicer than white. Your units and work tops are very similar to those I have in my kitchen, which also have black granite tops. I also have a wooden floor of a similar shade, please don't change this, it is lovely. I was aware when I had my kitchen fitted that the units appeared darker than in the showroom but this was due entirely to the colour of the walls they were installed on. To lift the units, and celebrate their beautiful colour, you should paint your walls a darker and contrasting colour, I have chosen a really shocking pink, Rock Candy, but there lots of options. The showroom I saw my units in used a burgundy colour, too dark for my Victorian kitchen. There are so many colour options which don't have to be expensive, play around with a few tester pots and see which you prefer. This is by far the cheapest option, and I'm sure you'll fall in love with your kitchen units again once your units are allowed to stand out. Incidentally your unit colour helps to visually integrate your stainless steel 'fridge, another reason to stick with it. Comments (9)The greys I had chosen ( before trying a sample) was farrow and ball cornforth white for the kitchen and fb purbeck stone for the open dining room cupboards. I've had over £35 of samples and have now decided on farrow and ball All White for the kitchen and Matt Dakkar ( it's a grey pale olive) for the floor to ceiling dining room cupboards which will have oak running through them . I'll try to put the kitchen design photos on . Minnie 101, the floor is being laid next week , it's semi honed forest limestone . The kitchen is west facing with a small window , the grey looked too drab . The dining room is south facing and gets the sun, there are steps down into the kitchen and the sun doesn't really reach it . I was thinking of having a mirror splash back under the hob hood as this will face the small window and reflect some light back ? ive seen some lovely white cottage/country kitchens on here and hope to pinch some ideas. I only have till the end of next week to decide. I've really had far too long to make a choice as I've changed my mind so many times and have gone back to my original choice! Comments (10)I prefer the one on the left to the right for the same reasons as Jonathan. It also seems to fit a bit more with the style you're going for (making a massive assumption based on your dining room ideabook!!). I'm not sure about the wall cabinets (I've blown up the colour on the pic below), I might stick to wood personally but maybe you can add your kitchen design? I would however add the floor tile to this so you can see it along together and know from your earlier post the worktop is tbc!...See Morekitchen cabinet colour dilemma
Comments (1)Before you get the paint brush out - add some top lights to the wall cabinets - allowing warm light to bounce up to the ceiling and back down again . You might find that lifts the feel of the place without all the effort of re painting doors ....See More
