Bathroom tile -can you mix real and porcelain effect marble?
Comments (6)Thanks that was helpful and your Denver project looks great! We were thinking of using a herringbone 2x5" or 2"hexagon calacatta mosaic on the bathroom floor with larger format (18x30ish) porcelain marble effect tiles on the wall. Great pointer about tile depth! I actually have a question about your Denver project as we're considering to use a freestanding bath vs. inset bath in a similar layout (bath and shower sharing a wall). Not sure if I have enough space for a freestanding bath and wondered how close the freestanding bath should be offset from the walls? I might only have a couple spare inches on each short side and a bit more behind the bath for taps. Don't want it to look squeezed in!...See Moremixing metals in bathroom
Comments (8)There may be to many finishes if you go with the black mixer, do I'd be tempted to say go with the gold fittings but you don't necessarily need to go brushed, take a look at our finishes (even if just for inspiration) https://www.thewatermarkcollection.eu/the-finishes/ - we've got a number of variations of gold's and brass's which you might like. Of course if you like our brassware that would also be great! If you take a look at the project we completed below will give you more of a visual on how these "tarnished" finishes can work against white for you. https://www.houzz.co.uk/projects/5656863/hackney-family-home The Watermark Collection...See MoreMix of tiles and shower panels in small bathroom?
Comments (7)Ah ok! i would price up both options as your refurb wont be cheap then, it may be better to do exactly what you want as you’ll still be left with grout? I know the panels can go straight over tiles if necessary but do they sell ”trim” for dealing with the window recess?? Are you installing a glass screen so as to delineate the shower area? You could also just paint the remaining walls although they may need reskimming.....See MoreBathroom metals..
Comments (1)I am not an expert by any means, but personally I would go for a white towel heater, as you have white tiles it would blend with background and then you can add towels for a pop of colour. Can also be changed easily and inexpensively when needed. The flushplate, I would say it depends on where in the room it's placed snd what the background is. As for the wall lights, personally I would try to sell on and look for something in brushed gold....See MoreUser
