Converting an en suite into a laundry

I'd like to convert an en suite bathroom into a laundry. I have a 4 bedroom house with a 2 separate toilets and a family bathroom(with walk in shower and bath). the en suite is off my mom's room and due to water restrictions in my country, hasn't been used in over a year. the change means we have to walk out of the back door onto the covered patio as we will need to move the door to the opposite side. I'm not planning to move anytime soon, so resale is not really an issue for me. Any pearls of wisdom for me?

If you want to add an En-suite you need to post a room plan with dimensions............also, if the bed takes up all the space, how do you envisage an En-Suite and a bed? I know it sounds like a daft question...............do you want a single in there against the gable and an En-Suite? The bed looks like it would fill the room across ways also, which, if you put the En-Suite at the end you wouldn't be able to get to, as the bed would still be in the way. Just a little confused...........not difficult for me, I manage it all the time. You would also need to mark on the plan the area of floor that you can stand in comfortably, which looks like just the apex, so an En-Suite is going to be difficult.

Just a comment on the dressing room - looks like there is only 70cm between your two rows of wardrobes. That works if you have sliding doors with only hanging or shelves inside but it’s going to feel very cramped. It also doesn’t work very well if you want drawers, as there isn‘t space to pull out a 60cm drawer and stand behind it . Could I suggest you consider making one side shallow depth (35cm deep works for shoes, bags, accessories, underwear, t shirts, trousers) to give more of a feeling of space in there.

Hi I think you have chosen the best and really only layout for this space. My suggestions are to look at ways to make this space the most comfortable you can, think about a minimal shallow shower tray so there isn't a big step, with the shower screen door opening into the shower and a small wall hung vanity so you have more floor space. Think about the WC position, when you sit on the WC your knees don't want to bang on the sink so I think you have to keep it fairly central on the back wall. You can get space saving short projection WC's like the Villeroy and Boch O.novo. It looks like you have a window on that wall so making sure the WC fits under that and so on will make the space look fabulous and perfectly formed!
