Corian up stands above kitchen worktops
Comments (6)There are so many factors involved. These include proximity to sink and hob that will generate greater dirt, maintaining symmetry etc. For a larger kitchen you could possibly get away with only having upstands to the rear, but if there is a sink/drainer in close proximity, I would still avoid. A 5 inch high upstand does seem quite high, but this is entirely down to personal choice....See MoreWhat colour island with cream kitchen and black worktops?
Comments (10)Putting white or light grey on a kitchen floor is asking for martyrdom - fine if you're what Freud called a housewife psychotic; but if mopping your floor three times a day isn't your thing, go for a darker floor and get your reflected light from the vertical surfaces of the island. I would also be wary of white next to cream - call me old-fashioned, but it's one of the few combinations that simply jars. Comments (3)Thanks very much for your help. The house is a Victorian terrace and the kitchen is a L shape. Very lucky that I haven't done yet , just looking. I decided to get a two bowl ceramic sink because the sinks now are too small really, I want something I can use for others things as well and I'm in love now with that big sink . The worktop just check hundreds of photos and like Daysi England here suggest Marble design, (I cannot afford a granite or silestone) be matching the shaker cabinets better. All the kitchen be same cabinet color . .... and yes, I don't intend do remodelation for at least 15 years! . Im open to more opinions....See Morewhat colour kitchen worktop for all white kitchen?
Comments (71)Love your kitchen, you’ve done a great job, not only does the kitchen look good, it’s totally practical, drawers are the way forward, even if they are more expensive than cupboards. I’ve just redone a kitchen in a house we rent out, the old one was finally falling apart. I was going to go to Howdens and use the joiner etc we knew, but in the end we used a small local company, which cost us £300 more, but the quality of their interior cabinets and doors was so outstanding, plus they could do everything, including tiling, we went with them. We didn’t change the floor, but did everything necessary, I’m hoping it lasts well and our tenants look after it!...See More- 6 years ago
