please help me decide what colour to pain these kitchen cupboards..
Comments (18)I would try some different neutrals such as Little Greene 'Slaked Lime Dark' or Farrow and Ball 'Light Grey17'. It a lovely bright space and the floor is very warm and quite strong so I would go for a warm stoney neutral that complements the floor and the range. If the paint is more obviously blue of green it will make the floor look even stronger. Little Greene does oil based so I would use that over water based. Hope this helps. https://www.littlegreene.com/paint/colour/show-all/slaked-lime-dark#...See MoreWhat’s the best/ safest oil to use inside wooden kitchen cupboards?
Comments (2)For our real wood worktops in our utility and a butchers block, we've used Skydd oil from Ikea which is suitable for food prep areas. https://www.ikea.com/gb/en/products/tools-fittings/oil-stains-product-care/skydd-wood-treatment-oil-indoor-use-art-00046786/...See MorePaint colour for Kitchen cupboards and tiles?
Comments (13)Hi Tricia. I agree with the other comments that painting kitchen cabinets is a lot of work and I don’t think you would be better pleased with the end result. Some cabinets can take painting better than others. For a different idea you could extend the wall cabinets almost up to the ceiling by either finding extra wall units or if you’re handy with diy creating them yourself. Then replace doors with some mdf panels which you can then prime/paint yourself (see pics below for the kinda thing I was thinking of). Mdf doesn’t cost all that much but if you’re not confident with cutting or drilling hinge holes then a local joiner could do this for you. Wouldn’t normally recommend painting tiles but if it’s just short term then it’s maybe worth a try. I wouldnt use any wood panels behind a gas hob tho, might be a fire risk....See MoreCan't decide what colour to paint kitchen cupboards!
Comments (6)The bricks are dark and dinghy. Paint them white then perhaps a pale grey for the units would appeal to buyers. Don’t paint the units dark - in a recent survey I read it was one of the top things that put buyers off!...See MoreDaisy England
