Have you ever considered a real interesting eye catching piece of art work to really brighten up your living area I think a select piece of art would really make the room stand out, add interest and add a great talking point to the room.... Hi. You know, I'm totally with Pat Oliver on this - cant imagine why someone would have put three light fittings up in the first place!!! I, too, would go for just the one in the centre and remove the end light fitments. Don't know your budget or taste but I've fallen in love with ANTHROPOLOGIE'S totally OTT brightly coloured chandeliers which happen to be on sale now. I covet them but can't afford them. Why not combine your budget for two and buy something spectacular. You're only going to do it once!!! Wayfair is good for ideas and, believe it or not, if you have a COSTCO card they sell quite magnificent ones too. If budget is huge look perhaps at Thomas Goode. Happy shopping! I think you are trying to make a building with traditional construction look like it has been constructed in an industrial way. If you remove the plasterboard I think you are expected to find a large void with ductwork and metal rails containing the electrical wiring- I think you might be disappointed and find the wood beams holding up the floor above, some insulation and 22mm central heating pipes. If you want the industrial look you might need to fake it- assuming there is enough ceiling height you could hang a metal grill below a dark painting ceiling
