Bedroom Fireplace - Paint Colour(s)?
Comments (16)Yes, to cornicing and a picture rail. I've also put up a ceiling rose. I was planning to paint the ceiling, ceiling rose and down to the picture rail white - and do the same in all the bedrooms and public rooms. You've got me thinking now about matching the ceiling colour to the wall colour... ;-)...See MoreWhat colour to paint this bedroom? Help!
Comments (12)People often suggest that blue is cold, but we have a blue on the greenish side - we had it mixed and I don't have the number any longer. Visually the nearest colour I could find online was Dulux Blue Reflection. http://www.designerpaint.com/products/dulux-paintpod/blue-reflection/80377 In this traditional room we use it with slightly shaded white woodwork and ceiling, a rather "bedroomy" persian rug that is basically cream with deeper blues, some ochre and a little peach, but we've previously used it with the paler citrussy green often called lemongrass as an accent colour for a more contemporary look, with pure white woodwork. It really is the true blue of the sky and feels like daylight, even on the darkest days - I think you might find that it works well in a darker bedroom. I've just taken a couple of photos on my camera to show the colour in daylight and artificial light - apologies for the quality, they may come out the wrong way round!...See MoreWhat colour grey paint for botanical bedroom ??
Comments (2)Hi, Could you provide a little more information about the room and style you are ofter, for instance the aspect of the room as this will determine how the greys appear; if it's a North facing room a blue tone will be accentuated, making the room feel a little drab; do you have any furniture such as bedside tables, bed, wardrobes you want to incorporate into the scheme, would it be possible to upload an image of the prints, maybe there's a colour on there you could pick out for the walls (or a complementary colour)? I think you could go for dark walls but I wouldn't go for overly dark walls, such that the black frames of the prints are hidden. I would go for a light or mid-sole grey with a green undertone. You don't have an ideasbook set up so I'm not sure if this is the look you're after but Here are some inspiration pictures! All the Best!...See MoreWhat colour for bedroom’s chimney breast?
Comments (41)I found the Dulux Visualator, or whatever it’s called, to be pretty useless. I used it once to visualise my old sitting room colour just to see how accurate it was. My walls were Dulux Elderflower so compared it on the Dulux online thingy and it was completely different!...See MoreSonia
