Ideas for en suite/walk in wardrobe space in Bedroom
Comments (2)Hello Leesh, It sounds like you rather like the idea of an en-suite and so I would perhaps suggest you go with it, rather than do one thing and then re-do it later. You mention the house has one single loo.. So would this mean presumably that you would also then situate a loo downstairs? If so perhaps you might consider turning the loo into a small wet room style shower room.. A wall hung loo and small sink would give you enough room for a small shower room fully tanked of course as they are lovely. If there is a bathroom with bath for example elsewhere on the upper levels then it could be one way of dealing with this smaller space.. Alternatively you may prefer to have a walk in closet.. Mind you.. If the bedroom is large enough you may be able to incorporate a walk in closet in the room itself.. I'm elaborating on your initial dilemma, but it may help you to decide just what you need and where exactly.. : ))...See MoreLayout of master suite - bedroom/ ensuite/ walk in wardrobe
Comments (36)I like Jonathon’s first drawing for a couple of reasons. You can have a walk in wardrobe for all the hanging clothes, which can end up looking a bit messy, and have the more traditional type of wardrobe for items that can be boxed up, such as handbags and shoes, and folded clothes / drawer items. I think a walk in wardrobe is better without a window as natural light can fade clothes, so much better to have a bright bathroom with 2 windows. Finally, as you’re building the internal walls from scratch you could look into having a pocket door system into the en suite thereby preventing a swinging door getting in the way of either the wardrobe or the shower....See MoreBedroom and En-suite conversion layout, help please?
Comments (1)Good afternoon Alicia, Congratulations on this exciting decision. First of all it is worth thinking about what you need to store, whether you need room for two at a time getting changed or using the sink and more lifestyle thoughts. In preparation you can take more notice of your daily routines. Then I would recommend taking note the natural light, sounds coming from outside and views as well as the other measurements. Thirdly the property may have some heritage and styles such as small details or the style of the facade which can inform the selection of inspiration. An interior designer will ask these questions for you then provide you with inspiration and more. It looks like it may be possible to utilise some of the landing and airing cupboard space to enlarge your dressing room and bathroom. We can take care of all of this for you organising the process and ideas and even implementing them if you would like a hands off process. You can receive this expert service remotely or if you would like the full project management we cover the Wirral or Cheshire. Comments (4)I love the above suggestion. Alternatively the first half of the second room could be the dressing area through which you walk through to access the large bathroom suite. Bathroom is best kept where the window is. I love creating spaces like this because it can be a real haven and escape for some people having their their private dressing area and ensuite! Make sure your dressing area is really well lit, if not custom joinery joinery could create something fab with IKEA pax sets. Just make the flooring really plush and soft and have some really nice seating In there. I would also deffo create a seating area in the bedroom too maybe by the window.. Have fun!...See MoreJonathan
