Lounge - Curtain colour dilemma

Hi everybody,

I need your advice please in choosing an appropriate coloured curtains for my lounge as I have blue sofas with magnolia walls.

Your advice would be greatly appreciated . Thank you all

Slate blue works well with wood or you could go mustard, but go for something plush.

Hi. What's the style of the room? Cole and son picture a lot of their papers with old master style portraits which would work. I've also attached a link to ibride trays which I've seen used as wall art a few times. You could also look at prints of old maps, architectural prints etc. An industrial style window mirror could also work. Ah if it's a powder it should be fine then! I really would recommend you getting some fabric samples to check against paint though as paint is far cheaper. The paint colours you have chosen work well together, If you're looking at a feature wall you could potentially look at neutral but textured wallpapers such as grasscloth, silk, linen, shagreen etc. If you go for texture you may not tire of it. My living room is charcoal silk effect wallpaper on each wall, it's been up 3 years and I can't see us ever tiring of it. You could then add an accent colour for cushions etc which you can change cheaply whenever you feel like it. As you haven't got a fire perhaps add a console and art etc to make that the feature wall.

I think new art is a good idea. We all like a little refresh of wall art every now and then, and I really don’t blame you. I think The Range is good for cheap and cheerful art, and surprisingly good. Wayfair are also good, and for the more special art prints I’ve found King & McGaw very stylish. Of course you could go to an art gallery and choose an original piece if budget allows. Thanks Sonia that does look lovely. The current wooden blinds aren't actually closed fully or turned the right way in the photos, I think the light coming through makes them look bent in the photo. But anyway, yes I could consider removing them :) It was more advice re the curtains, I'd wondered whether they should be to the floor or not, (its just having the radiator in the way), and I can't decide on colour. Walls are willow tree green and furniture white and I have pale grey or white bedding. So wondered if I should go (pale plain) grey for the curtains?
