linoleum tables

Hi
I’ve been looking at linoleum dining tables online & wondered if they’re as hard wearing as they state? I’ve recently purchased Normann Copenhagen Form chairs so for ease of choice am considering a Form dining table but don’t want to make a costly mistake if it can’t cope with kids. Any help appreciated!

Lol, Jesse, I had to study that photo AVSinteriors posted forever to figure out what you meant about the tile direction but after I did I do see what you mean. I never thought of it that way but logic states the water would run off the vertical lengths of grout far more successfully than it will the horizontal! I went in the current family bathroom and had a look at the tiling - very interesting. And a plan changer. I'm glad we hadn't gone too far in planning the shower area yet. Well spotted you on that tile, this is the first time I've heard anyone mention that! I love the inset teak mat-floor for the shower area of that wetroom, too.

Kitchen and conservatory have lino, dining room has carpet (at the moment). Underneath the dining room carpet there is parquet flooring though (same as the living room as you might be able to make out from the last photo in my original message). Have attached a very crude sketch showing what flooring is where at the moment. Would you suggest going for the parquet or keeping a lino to have the one type of continuous flooring? I have also attached a photo showing the parquet floor colour in the entrance hallway. Thank you both very much for your advice, it's been really useful.

Hi Carolina, Thanks for weighing in. I'm not that sold on turquoise ( I've scraped something similar off most of the skirtings and window frames in the house- see remnant on kitchen window) but I do like the blue glass cabinet. Possibly not for this room ( the interior colour is where I want the focus ) but for my bathroom renovation which is happening in a couple of months. And I'd forgotten about the splashback! It's weird how stuff becomes invisible when you live with it. I'll think about how I can tie that in with the dining table, chairs and possibly window frame. Though keeping it natural is a frontrunner at the moment.
