The headboard was made bespoke and is covered in Romo Zahira Gentian fabric. A local upholsterer will probably be able to make you up a similar headboard. I specify the fabric simply being "wrapped" around the board so there is no box channel or piping, which looks more contemporary. The headboard is 75cm high above the mattress and then there's a thinner flat section behind the mattress of 15cm.

Hey Tani. That's a shame you haven't found one yet. I finally found window shutters tall enough this week after month of searching ( and on the same day of emailing for a quote to have them made typically!) I do think the upholstered frame would be relatively quick and easy? In terms of the door, if you go for a single door, I would pop a bit of architrave on top. I Think the silver leaf could be very expensive and the delicacy of it may be at odds with the thickness of the door ( or there again that could actually make it work!). I quite like the idea of double doors but how tall is the ŵall? I think if you go for that option I would personally have a very distressed effect with white and grey paint, something like the attached ( hopefully less work). I'm renting the apartment out as corporate lets so have to find a colour which is practical but also looks elegant. The carpet is neutral the curtains are a soft black and off white colour. The bedside tables are black..the sheets will be white and the throw is a neutral colour from The White Company.

Agree with Jonathan, buy one, take it to bits and re-cover it. It all depends on what look you're going for really. The deep buttoned ones are hard to do. I used to run my own business restoring antiques and doing some upholstery. For an easy one, look at this video:- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S6EM7qLyd8Y However, this is really how it should be done, the first guy was very amateurish. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DlbgRdvO8TI It really isn't as easy as it looks, however, as I said, it all depends on the style that you're going for. If you want a deep buttoned one, then i'd strongly suggest to keep looking for one that you like, because recovering one of those is not for the feint hearted.

I would go with three or five, beautiful restful colours. I would also align the tables and lamps to the centre of each panel. Would that mean getting a bigger bed? I recently downsized from super king to king and now can’t wait for an excuse to go back to super king. Chandelier looks fabulous!
