These Copper Tiles were amazing and not too expensive being sent from Chine via the Aliexpress website

What an amazing forum this is. Do hope you have a clearer picture by now. I adore your splashback, it must not be relegated to a utility room. Buy more of the same for that! Perhaps you could frame an extra piece as art in another area. I've painted my kitchen cupboards in 'Hebridean Mist' which goes so well with the slate floor tiles, then a pink fridge freezer and pink edged worktop tiles tie in well. I like to add a little bit of matching colour from one room to another room, moving through the house like that. It givers synergy to all my rooms, none of which are the same colour, but all of which have a hint of another room. Anthology is a fabulous site to look at for lighting. Wayfair has a gorgeous orange glass globe light I want badly! I actually adore the combination of orange, shades of grey, white and black. A simple thing like 1 Cygnus Papilios cushion by Alex Goode can pass one colour into another room.

Hi, I've now had quartz worktops fitted in a white with grey and mirror flecks (compact lactea) & attach photos. Cabinets are all done too. My next area is what to do for splashback behind the hob/under the extractor. I originally wanted to do red glass across the length of the wall, but we have had under unit lights fitted below the higher cabinets and at night I can change these to any colour I want. If I do red all across I won't get the effect of the lights. Not even sure red would go? The wooden chairs are going and will be replaced & I still need to choose my island lights (thinking 3 pendants hanging). Husband thinks stainless steel sheet behind hob. I'm not sure this will look right with dark glass hob under it & wonder if it is hard to look clean all the time. What ideas do you all have as you helped with the worktops. I also show the dining table and the new open lounge area (intend to put a rug down). We also still need to find wall lights.

Hi, if you want to inject some colour into your kitchen via the splashback you might like to think about an LED illuminated splashback. You can set it on one particular colour or set it to scroll through colours. You can also have a splashback with white colour temperature controllable LEDs in it if you prefer - this means you can switch it from warm white, to cool white to daylight depending on the effect you wish to create at any particular time of the day/evening/season. Toughened vs non-toughened have been a dilemma for kitchen owners for a while. The objective truth is that yes toughened glass is stronger and heat resistant, but due to significant price difference sometimes it makes sense to take risk and just replace mirror in case of breakage, which will still be cheaper than buying full toughened from the beginning, especially taking in consideration that non-tgh antique is stock product and you don’t need to wait for 2-3 weeks for production. If you are looking for simple coloured or printed glass, then definitely go for toughened since price difference is insignificant and it’s not only safer and heat resistant, but also 4-5 times stronger to impact which is good against accidental hits. The other important fact is that broken mirror can bring you bad luck for 7 years!:) so only choose professionals for your installation. We are now producing probably over 100 splashbacks per month with fair share of toughned mirrors so happy to help!

I see a lot of brass metal sheet for sale, I wonder if it is just simply glue the sheet on to the wall? Ikea has brass splashback too and looks like just a metal sheet too. Don't really like them in tile form or printed copper/brass like glasses as suggested above I'm afraid.
