I need some things to complete our bedroom!
Comments (41)I would put the pair of glass candle lamps together on the right side chest and opt for sidelamps with more oomph - something bigger and squat. You could also add other ornaments in different heights grouped together - don't split matching items too symmetrically, balance is key but symmetry may be boring. A geometrically patterned rug or two will look nice alonside the bed and/or at the foot of it. A narrow console unit would look nice beneath the tv; you could go for vintage as your style is very simple. Don't be afraid to dare a little - playing safe is not always the safest!!! Add a comfy reading chair with lampstand and cushions and a footwarmer or plaid on the bed and some more wall art - the heart is a great start but add more. Think layers. You have a great basic palate to funk it up a lot!...See MoreThrow your 2c in to our complete refurb! First time refurb'ers, help!
Comments (9)Here's a thought - I have two teenage kids and I have never known them or anyone elses kids to play in a "playroom" for more than half an hour especially on their own - they always gravitate to where you are! and will end up building lego on the kitchen table etc. and in the end you are happier having them "in sight" (Unless there is a host of other kids at your house as well.) So my advice would be to not lose valuable space to a designated playroom. Think about the activities you and your partner enjoy too! Do they need some designated space? It could be a room where a lot of toys are stored, sure (and its nice to close the door on it) but could it also be a room where the piano/craft table/office/homework desk/drum kit etc also live....See MoreFinalizing our extension layout - last thoughts please?
Comments (75)Try looking on your local selling groups and Facebook marketplace as they come up all the time. People sell then when they get too big for their hours or when they move and they can’t be bothered to take them with them, ha ha. The new bathroom is still a shell :0( It’s been delayed because it’s now an internal room and we have been trying to work out about putting an outside window in ie cost (around £600!) vs is it worth it because it’s easy facing with a house opposite so gets no sun. Would always have to turn the light on - plus it would be above the shower so can’t open etc. Seems a lot of hastle! I have a separate thread on it somewhere... But anyway, we might create an internal window into the utility and borrow the light from the kitchen?? Not perfect but it’s some natural light at least. Will update the bathroom thread as need help with the shower anyway ;0)...See MoreGlass Box Extension
Comments (0)minimal windows #slidingdoors were installed to this new #glassboxextension. The minimal windows system works exceptionally well in glass extensions as they create a cohesive minimalistic aesthetic alongside the frameless #structuralglassbox. They also allow ventilation into the property and can be opened as much or a little as required to achieve the desired amount of air flow.
