Curtains or blinds / lights etc for just painted bedroom

Finished painting bedroom today in Paint and Paper Library Ice IV. Very happy with colour - husband did want to go darker. Anyway now it needs new bedside lights, curtains or blinds and other accessories - would love advice on which colours to use. The room gets a lot of sun first thing in the morning so anything at the windows must block out the sun. One wall is wardrobes and can’t afford to replace carpet yet. Thank you

I like your bedside light in the photo. Why do you want to change it?

I would be interested in suggestions you will receive for dressing of your bay window. We have a bay window in our bedroom with a very similar beam (boxed in RSJ?) in the way.

We have wooden venetian blinds, which look good but we wouldn’t mind having curtains as well. Tricky with that beam.

Great work so far. I love the colour of the blue on the wall, the painting, and the chest of drawers. Are any of these pictures appealing? I'm thinking a bit of yellow would be nice to add or you can just add varying shades and textures of neutrals in the bedding, throws, and curtains or blinds. I've also included a couple with bronze as previously suggested.

great idea! Love wallpaper on single walls. However, I would probably go with one of the branch colours, such as the blue one only - to create harmony. Just my unprofessional opinion though! :)

Hiya, As others have suggested, a Roller blind with a blackout fabric would be great. You mention you struggle with space in your bedroom, and Roller blinds are really great at rolling up neatly, letting in as much light as possible during the day. And of course, you'll be able to pick a colour or pattern that enhances your design scheme, so your blind will become part of the overall look. A Roman blind is still an option available to you, but be aware if you fit it within the recess it will take up more room than a Roller blind when at the top of the window. I like both of Carolina's choices, they appear to be linen which I'd also go for. i was looking for a close up of the colours of your wallpaper and came across this ready made moodboard! I also like the idea of a ticking stripe and the sand fabric (on their website it's shown as mustard) is quite nice for cushions. Forgot to say the room looks lovely and very calm :)

I‘be just put old curtains back up. We had rail fitted v close to ceiling about 15 years ago - it stops at the beam - I’ll take a photo. Light still filters in at the side though :(.
