Hallways in old houses just ask for parquet, and you could go modern or traditional with the colour. 5 years agoGood morning - I love the stair runner you are using and really like the idea of using Victorian tile in your hallway. It's a period feature that both stands out (great pattern and tile options) and yet, fits in because it's classic Victorian style. I love the black and white options for tile since it really goes with everything but there are also some more subdued versions in the attached link that would look great with your runner. Some of the tile designs can even make a space look bigger (such as the criss-cross design in the image below) which might be a nice option for a narrow hallway. 5 years agoMy son has these ( the ones far right that look a bit like bees ), in his house, both colour choices and they aren't cold to walk on, or noisy, no more so than laminate really. Laura Ashley, Mr Jones is also a good choice.
