Advice needed on mixing tiles in the bathroom
Comments (5)Good morning stroalki. There's no hard and fast "rule" to tiling selections. there simply has to be a certain cohesiveness to it all. Take a look at this bath I just finished. It looks alittle "much" in the pic, but really all works when your in it. So my advice would be get samples of the tile you want to use, and let the Pros here at Houzz helpyou tie it all together. Comments (16)When I moved in this house the previous owners had proper bathroom tiles in the bathroom but when wet they were ridiculously slippy. So my first concern would definitely be finding out if they are slippy when wet. Re aesthetics, I really like Carolina’s pic mixing wood effect tile with the white and black. I like the high shine of the large format tiles but just looking at them makes me scared of slipping....See MoreWhite Herringbone Tiles in Bathroom
Comments (16)Hi. Sorry I thought you were going for the gold grout in the photo :) I personally prefer the white grout in the first 2 pics but I think the light grey also works. If you wanted white grout have you looked at epoxy resin grout? We removed inherited tiles that were over 20 years old in our kitchen and the grout was spotless so I assume that's what they used. great that you can lay the tiles yourself, does that include the herringbone? Why not get a sample to see how the white compares to the encaustic as presumably that will be an off white? The brass sounds lovely and I agree with Rinq if you can add some wood as teal and white can be a cold combination but looks lovely in the 2nd pic...See MoreBathroom tiles advice
Comments (9)I can’t see what colour floor & bathroom suite you’ve got, can we have a bigger picture? Tile wise, I’d take the advice of our fab garden design lady who said if we couldn’t match the inside tiles exactly to the outside ones, not to try and have a shade close to them, but instead choose something completely different ;)...See MoreJuliet Docherty
