Comments (11)I would go for a much bigger rug. Problem is they're hard to find and cost a fortune, but I'm wondering how it would look if you turned this one around and added another right next to it (stitch them.) I'm about to do this in my lounge. That is likely to be the cheapest option if this would be a good size. I'm also unsure about the colour. The tiles look grey, but the rug is brown based? Generally it's best to have one or the other - a room based around browns or greys?...See MoreRunners (rug) dilemma
Comments (11)Hi. Sisal is a natural sound insulator so I would opt for 2 runners as per the south surf road pic. I'd include a skinny console where the thermostat is. You might also want to add a plant as they're good for insulation. Hard to tell if a mirror or picture will go over the top from the pic . I would include a mirror by the door though, it will make it feel wider and you can check yourself out before you leave the house :)...See Morewhat size and shape, style rug??
Comments (5)Hi, I love the sofa. I think it's the perfect size. You could do what Sonia suggests; pull the rug away from the window wall a bit, so all front legs of the sofa are on the rug. Or... you could go for a round rug. Controversial, I know, but it works so well with a corner sofa. I think you'd need at least 200cm. And I'd have two or three small round tables, maybe all different ones. And, sorry, but I don't think the rug under the dining table works, so I'd remove that....See MoreRug dilemma - Help!
Comments (4)After talking it over with my hubby, we've decided to go for a light grey patterned rug that will hopefully neutralise the red carpet. And yes we will be swapping over that lamp shade with a black birdcage one :-). Thank you for all your help!...See MoreJuliet Docherty
