Shower wall grout color?

Hi, love the tile pattern and grout for the shower. What color is the grout? Does black make it look dirty? I have reservations about doing a dark grout with a light color tile. Thanks!

Hi Julie its dark grey (standard grout). I agree black would be too contrast. If your going for normal metro tiles (ie non artisan) I would opt for a darker colour grout.

We have an independent bathroom company near to where we live. We spent hours looking on line at different products until we were so confused with it all. We picked a Darryl shower cabinet in the end, priced up on line and then visited the local showroom to see if they would price match - they matched the price on line and gave us a really great deal. We have a rain shower and it is fab, it's not electric, just runs off the hot and cold pipes. We got our bath from the Cast Iron bath company when they had a sale on. It's worth gathering together all the items you would like to purchase and then just asking for the cheapest price from everyone, as you can see, we got a good price but still gave the business to our local showroom. It looks really great, so clean and simple. I have shared your photos with my husband and those along with the easy to keep clean appears to have swung it in favour of boarding. (interesting as I'm the one who cleans the bathroom :) ) I will get some samples and then we can finally make progress thanks to everyone for your help.

So sorry I did not update this sooner. Strangely, I have turned into more of a shower than a bath person since the rain head went in the ceiling. After a solid month of use, we did have one leak behind the shower (just to the left of controls) which the water ran under the bath, through the radiator boxing that you cannot see on the right of the photos, and drenched the hallway. I cut a tile section out, husband fixed his leak, and I made a removable panel in the wall, but not so bad, you would only see it if you knew to look. I still have a little tiling to do around the radiator boxing, but it has kind of turned into a case of manyana now it is like this! It was proven that 3 women can get ready in here over Christmas, and now have a laundry basket behind the door. HOWEVER... Hi, we're re-tiling 2 bathrooms, both pretty small with showers. It's a small flat, so neither have windows, so no natural light. The flat is in Spain, so having vintage style floor tiles, just wondering what color grout to use. I guess the best would be like a darker off white, like the background color of the tiles, but I don't want it to get dirty after use and look awful. Or I don't want to create more cleaning than necessary for myself! You can see the floor tiles together for the pattern & then a photo with the wall tiles. What do you think?
