Such beautiful big rooflights! Im having trouble finding a supplier for something similar, most seem to have trouble w sizes greater than 1x3m! Any suggestions for design or supplier for a flat glass rooflight with an internal opening that’s about 1.7x5m? Thank you!

I dont think anyone does them that big without at least one joint- typically 1.5 x 1.5 without joints, mainly becasue of " manual handling" ie getting it in but try The Rooflight Co

You will need..white washed ceiling.a pale wood floor, preferably large plank rustic oak, cream walls, with one wall in a bright coral,curtains in a retro vibe simple leaf repeat will bring the outside in, skandi style log burner & tiled full height panel behind it, a classic 70's corner sofa, some large logs as coffee tables, and some original art work in the hand crafted style of the 70's...also a sliding barn door entrance, replacing the I was married to the mob double doors currently insitu.

Try looking on your local selling groups and Facebook marketplace as they come up all the time. People sell then when they get too big for their hours or when they move and they can’t be bothered to take them with them, ha ha. The new bathroom is still a shell :0( It’s been delayed because it’s now an internal room and we have been trying to work out about putting an outside window in ie cost (around £600!) vs is it worth it because it’s easy facing with a house opposite so gets no sun. Would always have to turn the light on - plus it would be above the shower so can’t open etc. Seems a lot of hastle! I have a separate thread on it somewhere... But anyway, we might create an internal window into the utility and borrow the light from the kitchen?? Not perfect but it’s some natural light at least. Will update the bathroom thread as need help with the shower anyway ;0)

Thank you for your comments they are really helpful, as you say it may be best to stay with one colour for the moment. There will eventually be a high table in the kitchen so it can double as a prep table. The first attached photo is the look I found originally that I liked..simple but warm, I just want black as a detail rather than being too dominant. My windows are light timber inside (so the view is the most important aspect) they are black aluminium outside. The second is a photo of slightly darker ceiling that got me thinking. Oo those are stunning - especially with the gold top! Darent ask the price , eek. From the same Pooky seller?? Yes I’m going to get a sample of the one she suggested to try out as the radiator won’t be fixed on that dining room wall for a good while so not been in a massive rush. The floor is finally going down next week (omg) so I’m frantically trying to finish painting the eggshell door cos I’m messy and don’t want to ruin the floor, ha ha. Not sure what you would call the look really and if I wasn’t south facing then I wanted be antique mirror on the kitchen wall with the brass shelving to give that effect but it will blind me so have to watch where I put it. I had an amazing pic from a magazine of the look I wanted but can’t find it now. It’s from a bar but was OTT really. The OH just won’t spend out on any fancy things anymore. He says everything I want making now will be out of pallets! LMAO
