what Colour Finish wardrobe door knobs looks best with Dark walnut?

Hi
We are having wardrobes fitted and my daughter is adamant she would like dark walnut wardrobes (warm)
what finish/colour door knobs will look best on the wardrobes? without making the wardrobes look outdated? it is knobs I am after.. not the pull style...

Black, walnut, brass or brushed nickel. Depends on the style of the wardrobes and knobs :)

I think a dark grey wall behind the bed will look good. Most photos I’ve seen of walnut bedroom furniture tend to have very pale or white walls. You can also improve the room by adding artwork such as a nice big print over the bed, white bedding with some cushions and a throw to jazz it up a bit (See picture below). I would also get rid of those vertical blinds (too officey) and hang curtains in a similar shade to your walls. A nice padded headboard will cosy things up too. It is a fine balance to ensure the room doesn’t look dull and grey, so ramp up the accessories. Do you know whether the room is south facing? Light can make or break a grey room.

Hi Neha, thanks a lot! With regards to the floor you are right I will need to wait for the extension, because I wanted to put the ceramic floor that looks like wood, but then we would definitely need the underfloor heating in the kitchen. But if the underfloor heating makes everything too expensive and too long then we would put wooden floor and in that case we might match the whole thing on the whole ground floor. I definitely want the hallway and kitchen to match as you can see the kitchen from the entrance, whether as the sitting room is on the right after a few steps in, and I could always put a brass threshold to split the colours. I guess I will have to suck it up and live with the floor and table not matching for a while (the table is coming in 6 weeks and is the only finish I could agree without me and my husband biting each other's heads off! haha). There seems to be too much going on in your kitchen which is jarring, with colour and everything crowded around the old chimney breast. Perhaps the simplest thing to do might be to remove the backsplash and paint all the walls a warm neutral to tie in with the cupboard doors. I think the upper cupboards on the LHS of the old chimney breast could be removed to give a greater sense of space. As Jonathan has said, under cabinet lighting will brighten the space.

Your headboard looks like it could be close to F&B’s Hague Blue? Perhaps painting the whole interior & outside wall behind the headboard, with a lighter tone greyish blue colour to the rest of the walls to blend in with your mid grey carpet.

Of course this is down to your taste. If you want the knobs to stand out then look to brass (which would look good on the wood or polished nickel which is softer than chrome.
