Need help for our kitchen, blue cabinets, what floor and work surface?
Comments (3)Hello Ben, There are lots of alternatives to wood. How about granite, quartz or conglomerate marble? Conglomerate marble is more durable than standard marble, which is great for kitchens to reduce any possible staining or scratches. Granite and quartz are both very durable, non-porous materials and popular choices for kitchen worktops, too. Not to mention all three materials will last you a life time. We have hundreds of samples of these materials, but please feel free to explore your colour options by looking at the samples on our website here: http://www.diespeker.co.uk/materials/ (simply expand the tabs). If you're looking for a light worktop we'd recommend: quartz QU011 and QU078 and conglomerate marble CG028 and CG025. Good luck!...See MoreKitchen Colours - Floor tiles cabinets and worktops dilema
Comments (24)Hi Cake lady thanks for your comment. I have considered the wood effect tiles. However the kitchen adjoins a hall which has an oak laminate floor. I'm concerned the two different types of wood will clash. what do you think? Good to know they're low maintenance. I'm steering well away from gloss tiles as spent years trying to keep black gloss tiles clean in our bathroom. Finally replaced last year !...See MoreFloor tile for a howdens glendevon cashmere kitchen
Comments (8)Cashmere is one of those colour names that is confusing. It's hard to comment without seeing it but if you look at the following image it shows what I think is a colour clash: The cashmere doesn't seem to go with the white tiles and clashes horribly with the worktop which looks blue. The cashmere has red in it and so it needs a sympathetic floor like this: There are so many tiles out there you should be able to find something and a decent tile showroom should have someone who can pick out the different underlying hues in the tiles and find a match to the cashmere. Cream could also clash with the purpley red of the cashmere, they are opposite on the colour wheel. Don't restrict your tile choices, go to showroom that has a huge range of different neutral coloured tiles and bring them home and look at them with a sample door....See MoreWhat colour should I paint walls to match Howdens Cashmere Kitchen?

Just for something different. Walks mmm not sure……something muted. Small kitchen but bright! Ideas… don’t hate me re floor 😳...See MoreSonia
