Exterior revamp help
Hello everyone, I'm looking for some help updating our home. Is there anyone that could help do a drawing to see what it looks like with off white weather boards on the dorma's, similar colour render then an light grey door as per the photos. Also what do people think a out putting the door centred or off to the right like the old one? or if this seems a little dull what else do you think? we are also going to add a step upto the door too. Need help as to how to revamp TINY downstairs toilet!
Comments (17)Consider using a hang on the wall basin with a built in towel rail underneath which will mask the pipework and save wall space. I would add a full size mirror on the wall opposite the window and add a cupboard above the toilet for storage. Removing the upper tiles will stop the space feeling so tall and therefore so thin and also less cold and sanitary - I like the bold blue - try it - you can always re-paint if you change your mind....if you can't afford a full wall of mirror consider mirror tiles (Ikea do 30cm ones in packs of 4) and these would adhere directly to the tiles saving that wall being chipped away at..sorry - just seen how old this thread is....wonder what you decided on eventually?...See MoreExterior revamp

Comments (9)Hi again it was me that replied to the last one. I really like the room the green is lovely and I don't think the furniture is outdated. It just seams dark that's maybe why you think it's outdated. I'd possibly introduce another colour maybe a duck egg blue and add feature paper on the chimney breast where you have it painted brown you can get some lovely wallpaper. Then add cushions and maybe a throw over the sofa with the blue and green colours. Play with different patterns in your accessories. And defiantly keep the dog! Haha! Comments (10)There aren’t many sofa shops left, but I recently went into Furniture Village and they had some nice stuff as did DFS, but some of it was awful so pick carefully. John Lewis have some nice stuff, but I just read they have temporarily closed all their stores........brands that seem to be good quality are G Plan and Parker Knoll. You need to google search your nearest stockist. There are a lot of newer companies like Sofology that seem to be popular but I’ve no experience of them. 5 years agoAgree there's not much you can do about the tiles as you are a semi (other than replacing/painting as they do look a bit shabby). Here's some inspiration for how you can still modernise what you have. Grey windows/door/drive would help (lose the bay). But if at all possible I'd get one huge window in the dormer- would look incredible :)
