What tree is this?

Hey! Please see attached photo. Anyone know what tree this is? And how much I’d be looking to spend for 3? Trying to block out the view from our garden as everyone can see!

It looks like an Acer negundo Variegatum, but I’m not 100% sure. I used to have one but it grew too big for the space, they grow to about 50ft. Trees are not cheap but I really don’t know the cost.

nordmann firs are quite wide BUT they are sturdy (perfect for heavy baubles) the needles hardy drop at all, soft to touch so great with kids and pets too. With all real trees, keep away from radiatiors and fires as tgey don't like heat and potted live trees do love a drink so keep your eye on it ( I put mine in a trug)

We have one of each. The real on goes in the sitting room and is carefully decorated, all colour coordinated, and meticulously done by the wife. In the conservatory we have the fake one which is decorated by the kids - so it looks like a tinsel factory has exploded, baubles of all shapes/sizes/colours randomly bunched everywhere, flashing lights, tacky beads/bells. You can only make out a tiny bit of green tree under all the stuff (I absolutely love it, it's got so much character, but I'll still go in there any tidy it up a bit when the kids are in bed as most of it is only 'decorated' up to my waist height, so I do move some of it to the top 1/2 of the tree. Got to love the smell of a real tree as well

North facing will limit what can grow there, but luckily there is lots that will. Be careful with trees as some will become enormous and root spread can damage footpaths and driveways. I know this from experience when I planted a tiny Silver Birch that grew to 50ft and tore up my neighbours path, oops! Good small trees/shrubs are Cornus kousa, Japanese Maples (Acer palmatum), Viburnum tinus and Photinia. You can underplant with ferns, primulas, Anemones and snowdrops which all like shade. Hi Gabby, I've chosen trees that will be low maintenance. The Acer silhouette is a narrow tree and grows to about 4 metres which is enough to provide screening without spreading or being too over-powering. I'm not sure about the Arbutus, I think it is going to be a few years before I have to think about pruning but I'm hoping it will grow upwards rather than outwards. If it does need pruning I'll speak to my neighbours and offer to cut their side of it. The other thing I considered was the benefits of evergreen trees, not only do they provide privacy all year round but they also won't cause alot of additional trips to the recycling centre in autumn to dispose of the leaves.
