No question, just a comment from someone who generally prefers transitional design, but I like this too: It's attractive, well done, and functionality looks sound.

Hi. I agree with jacksplash and Man About the House - hopefully OnePlan will find you, because I'm worried about your layout. Some of the figures are difficult for me to read on your floor plan but I'm thinking about all the doors and where they lead and the traffic flow of people. Is there room to get around things, especially, say if the fridge door is open? Can someone get by or do they walk in front of the oven? If someone's cooking, is there room? If someone is at the sink, can another person walk by? If people are sitting at the new rectangular dining table, can you get passed to that side door, the double doors, or the door to the stairs? With the big fridge in that spot I'd do a practice and erect cardboard boxes that equal the depth of the fridge and more that represent the island and see if there really is room for it all. I'm not doing walls until kitchen in. also waiting a while to replace our table with a slightly bigger one. I've always wanted a decent table. only 3 of us so maybe will use end of it for serving up. in the pics the island looks clear and usable. the reality is it gets covered with all sorts. Im thinking of a mobile unit as could put it against chimney breast some of time. It's a developing idea. I'm reluctant to finalise until we live with the kitchen for a while. so much to think about and I'm an over thinker!

I think that it can work really well if the tiles are the same, but perhaps it does then need some sort of contrast to break things up. This could be a darker window, a wooden vanity unit etc. You could keep the colour palette the same but introduce texture, as in the fourth image below. I love the colours of the bathrooms below, they are light and warm and timeless.
