I also found one of the french grey and agree it looks green so I am not doing my house in that either although it does look nice on windows with cream render! Comments (5)I think from Sandtex the Ivory Stone would probably be my choice. Cornish Cream is very very pure cream, too much so for my tastes. Illustrated White, Sandstone or Mid Stone are less cream but would probably do well with the patio. I think, though, most of the cream and the more yellow stone colours would look great, and you don't need to fret about choosing the right one. Also, it's only paint, and a single story extension is very little trouble to repaint if you later feel you've got it wrong or just want a change. Comments (5)Something more interesting! There are such a huge array of tiles available that you can have something lovely. As the units and worktop are dark I would go with a light palette. Hexagonal tiles are lovely. If you wanted subway tiles you could lay then in a more interesting way such as herringbone (better with slim subways) or upright, like below...See MoreWhat colour blind should I choose?

4 years agoI’m no colour expert, but I feel a stair carpet like your first pic is very neutral and won’t clash. Ive seen rooms that mix cream, grey and beige and they just look lovely. The dark staircase will add another dimension but still quite neutral. Your staircase is so beautiful it really doesn’t need too much of a change, Skimming Stone is a lovely grey/beige. I would get match pots of the colours you like, paint them on A4, or larger, card and try them in various places and see what you think, paint colours can really change depending on aspect and light. If you can get some carpet samples too you can create a mood board so you can really get an idea of the look. The pics below show how lovely grey, beige and black/grey/brown can look together.
