These slim framed aluminium windows were installed to a new residential development to provide light and airy internal living spaces. The frames were finished in a light RAL colour to complement the external façade of the building which was designed with light coloured brickwork in keeping with the restrictions in place from the conservation area it's located within. https://www.siegersystems.co.uk/products/casement-doors/

Hi Roo, I sounds like you have less issue with Top hung compared to a traditional casement. You should be able to source a top hung that works with a 90 degree hinge so in the summer you could have it fully open so it does not interfere with the BBQ. The top hung will give a more clean contemporary look if that is what you are after. Unfortunately this is down to personal taste so the final decision rests with you.
