Help with new kitchen design - I can't get it to work!!!!!!
Comments (4)Definitely lose the wall. Is the fireplace in use? If not, maybe you could also build in front of it. ( Maybe you could have the hob where the fireplace is in the corner? ) I see also that you've gone for a free standing fridge freezer taking up 1.6m of space. integrate in to the island or long run of units and have more units in the freed space. I think once you lose the wall then you've got plenty of room for your island, in face plenty of room for everything, just get a good kitchen designer on the case. Maybe consider some irregular shapes if you can utilise the fireplace area? I'm no kitchen designer, but those qualified i've seen come up with some amazing designs to unify odd spaces. !! Safe to say one thing though, i think it should be fairly easy to use more than the one wall. Good luck!...See MoreHELP! How can I make this grey sofa work in this room!
Comments (16)I'd go for raspberry & pink, not as harsh as red, but definitely warming. I'd be very tempted if you go for the darker curtains, to go for the same colour rug, just for a bit of unity. However, if you then put a wooden coffee table on the rug, the wood will warm it up. All the pinks above will go with any grey, Different texture cushions in paler colours will help soften the look. This rug and coffee table go well with the whole theme, softens it down, and although grey tones, when mixed in with the soft accessories, cushions, vases, curtain ties etc will look really cosy. Comments (8)Thanks for the comment @Ellie. Yes the door into the kitchen is top left. What you have suggested is actually what is on the plan. The problem we're having is how to join the tall bank of units on the right of the pic to the base units (large pan drawers) at the top of the pic. Will having a tall corner unit look too overpowering? I can't get a good 3d picture on the planner I am using....See MoreHeeelllllpppp! I can’t find a kitchen worktop and I’m a bit stressed
Comments (14)So sorry Daisy English is not impressed with Howdens, I purchased my kitchen from them in Bolton and could not be more pleased. I downsized from a large house with solid oak kitchen units and marble worktops (which after time do stain, whatever anyone tells you) and moved into a much smaller property. With the help of the designer at Howdens she and I designed a kitchen more suitable for my needs, all the units are just to my taste and the appliances are excellent even the oven cleans itself, everything is in there, dishwasher, fridge freezer, washing machine, microwave, second oven, pan drawers, pull out pantry, hob, and extractor fan and sooooo important wine rack, streamlined and so easy to keep clean. Incidentally I have no connection with Howdens, just a satisfied customer!...See Morerinked
