Are the trees real or artificial?

Love this room, especially the trim work on the back wall. Are those trees real or artificial and what kind are they? Thank you.

We've gone for one of each again this year. I'd echo the sentiments of the smell of the real tree being almost magical. The real tree is in the sitting room - and this is basically the wife's. She has full control over this bad-boy. She chooses the decorations, the lights, where things go, what colour scheme (for some reason the lights in this picture look blue. They're not, they're just a different 'white' - phone cameras hey). The fake tree is in the kids room (aka the conservatory) - this is decorated by the kids, and basically they just stand there and throw as much stuff as they can get their hands on in the direction of the tree and see what sticks. I did have to wait till they went to bed to 're-locate' some of the accessories, as 90% of is was only decorated up to waist level.

I use artificial flowers and stems indoors. They seemed quite eye wateringly expensive but everybody comments on them and tbh you make your money back very quickly if you were to buy the same quantity in fresh. That's not to say I don't have fresh flowers though but they're a lot more limited! I've only tried faux plants once, I had buxus in really large pots outside my front door earlier this year. Anyway due to the pot size I didn't put them in soil so we lost one in a storm after a few months...

Definitely.....just so long as they look as real as possible!!! I have found Latex ones way better than the more traditional silk ones! :-)

I presume they weigh much lighter than a real tree with the necessary soil and water so must be a great solution for a balcony or terrace. Like it :)
