Hi there, just wondering if this gorgeous wall is metal (and if so, what metal is it); but if not, what wallpaper is this, with such an awesome effect.. Thanks!

The metal wall is a wall tile with a metallic finish. This spec is now discontinued but more options can be found at FonTile in Vancouver.

Everything you suggest sounds nice Minnie, your home must be lovely! Tbh the area where the sofa is going is not very deep so we may well end up with banquette style seating as I do think they look lovely. Then maybe I could get a small round table for coffee's etc....aahh the lampshade! It's been a pain in the butt! I'm still waiting for the Laura Ashley sample's, you would not believe how many shades of duck egg there are! They're so expensive too! :)

I like the inspiration from Sonia and agree with ED about curtains (I like full length curtains matching the wall colour - so beige/cream) Also attached a few more inspiration pics - you might want to think about the overall kind of look/aesthetic you want to go for which will then help you decide on a style and colour for your sofas. I think an accent wall works well if it has an obvious purpose. For example if there is a very deep recess or a wall of collectables that would be set off with a deep colour, or best of all a dark wall to help to disguise a large ugly black TV (they're not pretty are they)?

Sorry don’t quite know what you mean. Are you looking for a different colour to the aqua in that room? Feature walls sometimes can be confusing as it can be a struggle to find colours that go together. If it’s too bright then a paler version would work, something like Ocean Ripple by Dulux?
