Can’t see any pics. They can be slow to download on Houzz so make sure each pic goes from opaque to clear then click submit.

Paint the Wall completely white first. When it is completely dry ( a few days ), buy some LOW tac decorators tape and mask off the edges of where you want the grey and then paint the grey. Grey at the top sounds good, it will define the ceiling / wall areas.

You could go for completely white washable Matt, then around each boys bed you could have objects on shelves, rugs etc that are particular to them and their ages. This will help you create a room applicable to both boys. Plain white will also make the room look larger. You could also go for a pale light blue or a light grey as a base and do the same with shelving for night lights etc.

Could do with a bit of touching up but this is because I was impatient to paint the shed when I first bought it. Ideally you should let tanalised timber ‘breathe’ for a few weeks or months so that all the stuff inside the wood can come to the surface apparently. As you can see on the close up the paint has separated in the grooves but I think this is more due to seasonal weather when the wood naturally expands in cold and shrinks in warmer weather. Otherwise it just needs brushing off and a wipe down. The paint itself has held up very well and would highly recommend it. I noticed your other thread and others have recommended Cuprinol garden shades, I do too it’s very similar. Sadolin Superdec (tinted range) has much greater choice in colours tho (I used Atlantic blue). Here’s photos, excuse the gloominess, it just started raining (p.s. Shed on the right is due for the skip).

A paintstaking scraping method. Not so bad on the flaky bits but they had what looked like a red gloss paint covered with a Matt grey paint. Some of it just flakes off but the harder stuff I had to use a Dial paint stripper suitable for masonry. It’s a slow process though and I wouldn’t advise it. The previous person using a heavy duty paint stripper which you needed a mask and proper gloves for but he said it was a nightmare! So unless yours is flaking badly, I would just sand off the flaky bits then cover it in a similar colour. Save yourself weeks of stress. There are companies that will strip it for you or sandblast it but I think that could damage the bricks (some of ours are damaged as they left the acid on too long!) and also, if you jet wash it then it can cause damp if you have cavity walls.
