Help with wallpaper
Hello all,
Please i need your help to decide which wallpaper will look good behind tv for our living room.
Hereis the room pic where i want to put wall paper.
On the wall where tv is, we are going to put this tv wall unit but instead of beige it will be with light grey green doors and oak base.
This is the pattern for tv unit:
And this is the colour combination we chose:
We are thinking to put wall paper behind this unit and tv like a feature wall. All 4 walls are cream (but yellowish) painted. Red sofa will be staying here.
so,
1. is wall paper a good idea?
2. We were thinking to create some coordination between red sofa and light grey green tv unit, so was thinking to use some green red wall paper. But we are Not able to decide which wall paper. Here are some wallpapers which we chose after 4 hours of wandering. But still don’t know are they any good??? We are totally clueless...
Your help will be highly appreciated. Also, any other decoration advice for this room will be a bonus, like coffee table, decor for shelves, etc.

4 years agolast modified: 4 years agoI still think that the furniture placement won't work and that it could be a lot better.
Clearly you can't have the two armchairs where they are as there is not way to walk around them, plus one of them would be right in front of the T.V Unit and then block the doorway.
You could remove both armchairs and just have the small sofa.
It's not a great layout, looks sparse and doesn't use the available space well. This would be much better. It allows for your metre of walk space / chair space around your dining table / pool table and gets a far better seating area for your sofas and T.V area.

Decorator refused to wallpaper our room - please help

Comments (4)I think if you're going to pull of dark walls, then they should be used as a back drop with lighter or coloured furniture. I think the wallpaper is going to clash with the curtains if i'm honest. I'm not against dark, and if you fancy a dark wall, then use paint not paper, it's a smallish room and can't take the busyness. Go for a mid grey plain wall on which to put the t.v against. Then add in your lighter coloured textures. I'd change the curtains for plain too, if it were me. Plus, i'd find some nice blinds for the other windows. What's the sofa like? The red, black and grey look always reminds me of the the cheap duvet covers that were around in the 80's, which is why for me, I think it dates a room. 4 years agoHi Sonal, that's great. As long as your sofa isn't wider than 2m by 2m then you should have enough room.
You need a walk through down the side of it of approx 1 metre.
Just remember you've also got the radiator to factor in, as that's quite long and therefore, your measurement for the sofa is from the wall to the radiator. ( plus leave a gap for the heat )
